Hey Divers,
This last week we spent four glorious days in Essen, Germany at Essen Spiel convention. We spent almost all of our time demoing our games and having an amazing time talking to some of you. We even squeaked in a few new Wreck Raiders backers.

Production is running smoothly. We have nothing to report other than we are where we need to be at this stage.

Hey Divers!
It has been a couple of weeks since I last wrote to you. I thought it was going to take longer to show you photos of the sample. But the sample arrived 10 days early. This is such good news. Especially because it is STUNNING!

Now That the Sample is Done, What Next?
By Friday we will have completed files sent to the manufacturer. They will begin the manufacturing process ASAP. Manufacturing can take up to 60 days. This will bring us to the middle of December. It will take a week to get onto the freight liner, and then another month to 45 days to reach various ports around the world. That means the games will land some time in early to mid-February. If we are lucky we'll get the games out to you in March. That would be 1 full month ahead of schedule.
In our experience, however, nothing ever goes as planned with freight and fulfillment. A storm can throw everything off of its timeline, games sitting at customs can add extra time before it gets to the fulfillment centre. That is why we built in a whole month more into the plan. I will be continuing to update you about the game over the next few months.

So many bugs crawling around on beautiful rugs! Ants like to travel in big colonies. Fireflies love the bright rug colours. Spiders are always on the lookout for juicy flies. Nine different bugs in all, and your job is to make sure all of them get what they want!
Players take turns drafting bug cards to their hand to make sets. At the end of the game players reveal their bug collections and we see who has made the most valuable hand of creepy crawlers!
Simple rules, short play time, lots of different ways to create awesome scoring combos, make this a perfect casual filler for players of all types.

Where We Are and Where We're Going

Hey Divers!
The last we spoke I was locking down surveys and charging cards. And here we are, weeks later already.
Good News
The game files have been submitted to the manufacturer (two weeks ago), and they are already creating the sample which will help us decide if any of the components need tweaking. We have used this manufacturer already for 4 games. All I can say is that their component quality is outstanding. So, I am very eager to see what Wreck Raiders is going to look like. I imagine we should have the sample within the next two weeks.
Once the Sample is Approved
Then we wait! It's a hard wait, but it's worth it. I estimate that production will begin at the end of September. It usually takes 45 days to make and assemble the game. Then it will take another few days to package them up for shipping, and then out the door on their various ships around the world to you.
Originally we had estimated that we'd get your games to you by April. I have no doubt we'll make it earlier than that. We always leave a little buffer room so that when there is a holdup at the boarder, or the freight ship takes a bit longer, we have some time to spare.
Incomplete Surveys
We've had a very good turnover for complete surveys. A record, if you ask me. However, there are still some stragglers. If you can get to your survey as soon as possible, it will help us know how many games we need to order for you. Although the surveys are locked down, if you haven't yet completed yours, BackerKit will allow you to do it. If you cannot find your link anymore, please don't hesitate to PM me and I'll get back to you with a link.
Are You Going to Essen?
So are we! We'll be in booth 5H108. We'll be there with our other brand, Burnt Island Games, selling Endeavor: Age of Sail.
From time to time we like to highlight a campaign that has caught our attention. This one was gleaming in our faces for months. Our very own Josh Cappel has poured his heart and soul into creating this world, while our good friends Daniel and Daryl designed the game. As you know, our sibling company Burnt Island Games works closely with Grand Gamers Guild on Endeavor: Age of Sail. Well, the Guild launched their next game, The Artemis Project, on Kickstarter, today. Wreck Raiders took you under the sea, Endeavor takes you across it, and The Artemis Project will take you through the stars. Check it out on Kickstarter NOW.

BackerKit Update and Timeline

Hey Divers!
What a great week it's been on BackerKit. Thank you all for completing your surveys in a timely manner. We still have about 250 of you who need to get on it! We have just two days left before the surveys are closed.
Credit Card Charges
As you know, you've entered your credit card info into BackerKit so that we can charge you shipping. Your credit card will be charged on Thursday, August 23rd. We are in EST, so those of your from Asia and Europe, it will happen at night for you, or even into August 24th. So if you need to warn your bank/credit card company, you can tell them the 23rd or 24th of August.
Custom Dice
It has come to our attention that some of you might not have realized that the dice we unlocked as a stretch goal actually come with the Kickstarter version of the game. This means that you don't have to add the dice on to your pledge. You will already have them in your Wreck Raiders game box. So, if you did add them, and you don't want a second set of Wreck Raiders dice, please go back to your BackerKit survey to take them off.
For those of you who do want another set or two of dice, please make sure you get your order in before August 16th, when we close the surveys and send in the order to our manufacturer.
